HESHIMA Project

Overview

The HESHIMA Project fosters inclusive humanitarian mental health and psychosocial support among marginalized refugees in Nairobi County, Kenya. Heshima, which is Kiswahili for “respect,” stands for Honoring Experiences and Shared Humanity in Mobilizing for Action.

Develop resources to share data, perspectives and practical insights from the project to support research-informed practices.

Graphic Design

Resources include an assessment report and a participatory toolkit. The report presents key findings and recommendations. The toolkit offers guidance for various professionals working within Nairobi’s urban humanitarian sector to conduct inclusive research, assessment, monitoring and evaluation.
